Photoshoot for Our Gowns

Joanna- Apologies for not updating the blog for some time. I have been really busy, especially with some new gowns arrivals, I had to arrange with the models and photographer for photoshoot. Afterall, only with a proper photoshoot can do justice to the very beautiful and elegant gowns!

I must say that it was really fun doing the photoshoot. Though it was really tiring. Well, I wasn't the model of course, and thus, had to be the assistant to the photographer and my lovely models. So I had to carry the gowns, carry their barangs barangs like water, makeup pouches and mark my words, it's super tiring!!! By the end of the day, my muscles were tearing apart. But it was still really fun! Can't wait for the photos to arrive. And I know you guys are as excited as me!

Be stunned! Be astonished!! Cos we are too!! Below pictures show photos of our client's gowns. She ordered 1 wedding gown and 1 evening gown from us. We absolutely love the exquisite details on the gown. Lacings just as how our client wanted it, little 'flower-like' design made of pieces of organza embedded onto the gown and the translucent back to make the gown look a tad more sexy and elegant.

And our client left with a smile and insisted on taking a picture with Joanna for memories! :)

Dear all brides-to-be, we know you have been missing us. And we know that the blog was unaccessible for a certain period of time. That was because we have been revamping our business model and doing even more research so that we can make it even better for you!

We will be back soon! With a brand new website for easy browsing, faqs for better understanding, and testimonials for your confidence! This time round, we are even better, but prices are still as affordable!

Get wedding gowns, evening gowns, tea dresses & dresses for your sister entourage at amazingly affordable prices! Please read on to find out how to participate. You may read my past blog entries to see some of my customers' gowns and testimonials.

This spree will end on 28 Apr '10, so hurry! Start looking around and do your research for your dream gown now! I will submit all orders on 30 Apr'10. Gowns will take about 4 - 5 weeks to arrive after placing your order. In this case, they are expected to arrive in End May or beginning of June. Orders that are urgent and need me to send in earlier will have another charge of $15 to cover for the transfer fee.

Because of the extensive amount of work to be done, I will be charging a $20 admin fee for each gown. It is possible to Make-to-Measure your desired gown too, but admin charges will be $30 for MTM gowns. If you want to make-to-measure a gown, please provide me with a CLEAR picture so that we can replicate it. Do also take note that it would not be possible to have a 100% resemblance to the gown you want. Afterall, those gowns that we see in bridal studios costs thousands to just rent. But there should be at least 90% resemblance.

It is advisable to do criss-cross back for a best fit. Do take ur measurements accurately too. U may post any questions you have here or you may send me an email at joanna_n9@hotmail.com, and I'll try to answer them within 48hrs. (sometimes also depending on supplier's response to my queries).

If you find the train too short and would like to do a longer train, its $40 for every 50cm train added.

How to choose a wedding gown that fits you?

Wedding Gowns & Body Shapes

There are many type of body shapes. Some are bleesed with great bodies to pull off any look with no problem but most of us are not as lucky. You definitely want to look good on your wedding day, you don’t want to be like a walking cupcake or bucket or even a stick when you are in your wedding gown. Therefore it’s important to know what kind of gown cuttings and design suit you best. You have to try on as many as possible and also do as much reasearch as possible before you decide on your gown. Keep your options open.

Pear Shape or Triangle
A woman with a pear shape figure has smaller shoulders and upper body than lower body.
RECOMMENDED: A plain A-line gown with elaborate bodices or laces and beadings on the upper body will create provide the attention to your upper body instead of lower part of the body.
AVOID: Any type of body hugging gown, full skirts, or cuts that will make the upper body appear even smaller or the lower body larger.

Inverted Triangle
A woman with an inverted triangle figure has wide shoulders and heavy top with a small hip or lower body.
RECOMMENDED: Sleeveless with minimum and simple open necklines. Full skirts with bow at the back or mermaid designs will add a more curves on the lower body.
AVOID: Low necklines, heavy beading, oversize sleeves with elaborate bodices on the upper body. No to straight skirts.

Rectangle
A woman with an rectangle figure has a long and narrow body without much difference in measurements between the bust, waist and hips.
RECOMMENDED: Go for an oversized shoulders and sleeves with elaborate design. High waistline skirts with some beadings will camouflage the thick waist. Full skirts with horizontal styling or can-can lining/petticoat will bring out an even body shape.
AVOID: Slim silhouettes with vertical styling such as straight gowns should not be considered.

Hourglass
A woman with hourglass figure has both her bust and hip about the same measurement with an obvious waist line which is usually very much smaller.
RECOMMENDED: A strapless or off-the-shoulder gown. When shopping for a strapless gown, go for the one-piece gowns instead of two-piece gowns.
AVOID: A two-piece gown can result in a “choppy” look, splitting you into to figures, avoid heavily beaded dresses that tend to make the bride appear heavier and no high neckline gowns.

Short and Petite
As it says, short and petite.
RECOMMENDED: Princess/A-line with shoestring straps and off-the-shoulder gowns. Right shoe height must be considered also when you select your gown as you will need the shoes to add to your height, if the height isn’t right, it wolud ruin the gown.
AVOID: Straight/Sheath(unless you are well-proportioned) and ball gowns.
Have fun hunting for your perfect gowns! Remember that you shouldn’t be pressured to choose a gown that you don’t like. You also should not be pressured to loss weight or gain weight if you don’t want to. However, if you are thinking of losing weight or gain weight, you have to consider whether the gown you are going to choose will be suitable for your body shape when you successfully loss or gain the weight with your choice of diet solution program.

Received another batch of gowns today in my mailbox!! And once again, the gowns are lovely!! Do watch out for this space for more pictures!!

And good news!! My workload has finally lessen!!! So do keep a lookout for the next spree if you have been waiting!! I should be organising one next week and expected arrival of the gowns after the spree closed should be in End Dec. So for those who are getting married, having photoshoots in End Dec or anytime after that, do look around for your dream gowns now!! And keep your enquiries coming in!! It has been some time since I last updated this space cos I have been really busy... I have added some previous customer's gowns into Facebook Album. You will have to be a fan and will then be able to look at all the gowns.

Thanks also for all the recommendation from all past customers! Really appreciate it!

I won't be opening a spree any time soon due to the workload. But do keep your enquiries coming in and I will still be able to process single orders. But do understand that I might take some time to reply recently because of the heavy workload and also due to the peak season of weddings now and the manufacturer has been taking some time to reply me.

This gown comes with an in-built petticoat. The customer is not wearing any petticoat inside. With another petticoat, the gown will look even more "pong" and princessy!

Spree for wedding gowns, evening gowns, tea dresses & dresses for your sister entourage! Please read on to find out how to participate. You may read my past blog entries to see some of my customers' gowns and testimonials.

Because of the extensive amount of work to be done, I will be charging a $20 admin fee for each gown. It is possible to Made to measure your desired gown too, but admin charges will be $30 for MTM gowns. Do also take note that it would not be possible to have a 100% resemblance to the gown you want. Afterall, those gowns that we see in bridal studios costs thousands to just rent. But there should be at least 80 - 90% resemblance.

It is advisable to do criss-cross back for a best fit. Do take ur measurements accurately too. U may post any questions you have here or you may send me an email at joanna_n9@hotmail.com, and I'll try to answer them within 24hrs. (sometimes also depending on supplier's response to my queries).

If you find the train too short and would like to do a longer train, its $40 for every 50cm train added.

Diamonds - A Gal's Best Friend.

Met up with an old time friend today and was glad that he has shared something really nice with me. And something I can share with all brides-to-be. DIAMONDS!!! Apparently, he is in this business with his friends and therefore he is sharing this good deal with me.

Wonder if anyone have heard of De Fred's Diamonds. From what I understand, De Fred was actually very well known among the royalties, celebrities and the high end customers. They only provide very good or rather would I say triple excellent Diamonds to clients. Amazingly, sales of De Fred's Diamonds was all through words of mouth. And of cos, with such good and superb qualities diamonds, it usually comes with a "superb" price too.

Hi All! I'm back from my honeymoon and had lots of fun. Back to work and it has been really busy at work so had no time to come here and update.
